About the Authors
Jodie McLeod is an award-winning children’s author and publisher, based in the Blue Mountains.
Her books, all illustrated by Eloise Short, are published through her own imprint – Wollemi Press – whose MO is to publish stories worth sharing.
When not writing, Jodie can be found running the trails of the beautiful Blue Mountains.

Skye Taylor is a Blue Mountains author/illustrator, artist and mother amongst other things.
She is the maker of 'Goodnight, Blue Mountains', 'Goodmorning, Blue Mountains' and her brand new book, 'Goodnight, Ocean'.
She lives in the upper mountains with her family and cat in their treasured treehouse.
Naomi Crew is a local Blue Mountains artist that focuses her work on native bird species and the natural environment, taking joy in capturing the unique characters of birds and showcasing their beauty. Naomi released her book, Bowers of Blue, in 2024.

Bowers of Blue celebrates the diverse fauna and flora of the Blue Mountains. Written in rhyming verse, the book is aimed at young children, however bird lovers of any age will enjoy the playful text and bold, colourful illustrations.

Locals may recognise her artwork which she sells at shops and markets under the brand Say Rainbow.

Yvonne Low is a writer, illustrator and award-winning fine artist, creating picture books, poetry and junior fiction. While nature is her main inspiration, her background in the performing arts as a dancer and choreographer, theatre, film, music and foreign cultures also feed her imagination. Her work is whimsical and often has a dash of humour and wordplay.

Yvonne is published with Little Pink Dog Books, Christmas Press, ABC Commercial, The School Magazine, Eucalypt: a tanka journal and Poetica Christi Press. She was a finalist in the 2021 SCBWI Australian Picture Book Illustrator Awards and won a 2021 ASA/Copyright Agency Mentorship Award.
Yvonne’s debut picture book (as illustrator) was Lola and Grandpa (Little Pink Dog Books) and Windy Washing Day marks her debut as a picture book author.
